Your Villa Antonia Team COVID-19 Update Posted June 3, 2020 Regarding these unprecedented times relating to COVID-19, the health and safety of our loved ones is of the utmost importance even as we celebrate these milestone occasions for our clients. Our venue and vendors have additional measures in place to provide the utmost in safety and sanitation based on CDC recommendations which include: masks/gloves and temperature taken for all staff prior to arrival, HEPA certified air filters, hand sanitizing stations, utilizing the outside spaces for ceremony/cocktail hour/dinner, staff served food stations, and frequently disinfecting “high touch” surfaces. We do ask that all of our guests and wedding party take their temperature prior to arriving and stay home if there are any concerns of your exposure or symptoms relating to COVID-19 for the well-being of everyone. It is our expectation that all guests and vendors assume their own risk in attending gatherings at Villa Antonia. We totally understand if you are not comfortable with large gatherings or have underlying health concerns that perhaps would put your health in jeopardy. We have encouraged all of our clients to have a livestream option available if some of their guests would prefer to join them virtually. Best wishes, The Entire Villa Antonia Team POSTED: Monday, March 30, 2020 “THE SHOW MUST GO ON” Hello Everyone, We hope that you are all safe at home and that you and yours are healthy as we all deal with the COVID-19 crisis. We wanted to give an update on where we are as an event venue in the midst of the current shelter in place. We have postponed all mid – March and April weddings who were able and willing to accept our gracious offer of opening up all available 2020 dates so they can still have the wedding of their dreams at Villa Antonia. We want to give a huge shout-out to those vendors affected as well. The Austin event industry has been hit hard by this interruption of business, but we have seen so many vendors doing whatever it takes to postpone and work with our couples to help come up with plan B. We know this was a very emotional decision and we are heartbroken for those clients that this affected. But we look so forward to the days when we can once again celebrate our wonderful brides and grooms saying I DO! As of today, we will be open again on May 1st for tours and daily operations. If you are a prospective client, we would LOVE to visit with you. It would be a bright spot in our day to describe our breathtaking views, lovely terraces for ceremony and reception and the Mediterranean charm that awaits you when hosting your event with us. We have availability for 2021, but our dates do tend to quickly fill up, so let the wedding planning proceed. This too shall pass and we WANT you to continue to dream and plan for your BIG DAY in the future! Our team is working remotely and look forward to assisting you in any way. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions. I will remain at your service and happy to help! Amy MauldingDirector of Sales and Marketing512-689-2157[email protected] Updated: 03/17/2020 Dear Villa Antonia Family, The incredible speed at which the COVID-19 virus has changed virtually every aspect of daily life is truly unbelievable. Please knowthat we have such empathy for the stress this situation has created during what should be a joyful time preparing for your wedding. At a time when you and your family/friends should be coming together to celebrate your marriage, you are instead being asked to practice social distancing and postpone an event that was months (years) in the making. Rest assured that the Villa Antonia team is absolutely committed to ensuring that your wedding at Villa Antonia exceeds your expectations, even if it doesn’t happen exactly when you expected. That said, our top priority is the health of you and your guests and therefore, the current recommendations of our elected officials should not be ignored. As we’re sure you are aware, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued recommendations not to hold in person events over 50 people for the next eight weeks in order to limit the spread of COVID-19. Additionally, the White House released recommendations to limit gatherings to no more than 10 people and avoid discretionary travel for the next 15 days. We understand these recommendations affect every wedding scheduled during the next two months, and we are committed to workingwith you to make sure you can move forward with saying I DO at Villa Antonia. For that reason, we are amending our policies to allowany wedding scheduled prior to May 17, 2020 to reschedule to an open date prior to January 31, 2021. As this situation continues todevelop, further revisions to our policy may be necessary. In order to handle these postponements in an organized manner, we ask that if your wedding is scheduled prior to May 17 and you wish to reschedule, please contact Amy Maulding at [email protected] As you can imagine, Amy is receiving an incredibly high volume of emails and calls at this time. She is doing an AMAZING job and we kindly ask that everyone be patient as she diligently works to accommodate the requests. For those with weddings scheduled in the next eight weeks who choose to move forward with your event, please know that we will honor our contract and remain open for your event so long as permitted by law. We are taking the steps we can to increase ouralready high level of attention to cleanliness and sanitation at our venue for the health and safety of your guests. This includes regulardisinfecting of frequently touched surfaces throughout the event, our staff wearing gloves whenever closely interacting with couples orguests, and requesting that vendors working events at the Villa follow infection control measures recommended by the CDC and serve guests in a manner that limits the objects touched by guests. We also ask that you request that your guests take measures to reduce the potential for disease spread at your event, including frequent hand washing and staying home if they feel unwell or have hadcontact with someone with COVID- 19. Given the rapidly changing situation and the difficulty inherent in making this decision, we will allow anyone with a wedding during the affected time to postpone their event at any time up to their scheduled date. Requests for postponements will be handled on a first-come first served basis. In order to ensure fairness for all couples, once a new date is selected it cannot be changed again unless the applicable CDC recommendations change. For those events scheduled after May 17th, we appreciate your patience while the Villa staff prioritizes the needs of couples that are currently scheduled for the next 8 weeks. We are closely monitoring the CDC recommendations and will further revise our policies to align with those recommendations as necessary. Rest assured that we remain committed to our entire Villa family and will continue towork to address other questions once we get through this critical period. Weddings are happy and hope filled events, and we feel privileged to be a part of yours. Our sincere hope is that the anticipation ofcoming together to celebrate your love serves as a bright spot for your family and friends during this difficult time, even if it occurs on a different schedule than planned. Best wishes, Matt and Kate McCabe Owners, Villa Antonia March 15, 2020 To all of our Villa Antonia clients In light of recent circumstances surrounding COVID-19, we wanted to assure you that we are moving forward at this time with all booked events. As always, we are committed to the health and safety of our guests, vendors, and staff, and we are closely monitoring local government, city ordinances, and national mandates. We have always had a high level of attention to cleanliness and sanitation at our venue and are currently increasing those efforts and following other infection control measures recommended by the CDC.In addition, we have asked all of our vendors coming on site for servicing of events to take similar precautions above and beyond what they already do such a great job of, relating to guest safety and sanitation measures. With our intentional wellness measures, we are confident that Villa Antonia is ready and able to accommodate your guests for such an important milestone event, and we are committed to supporting you throughout that process.
