History of Villa Antonia

Villa Antonia was conceived and designed by our namesake “Antonia.” After many requests, she began hosting weddings at her beautiful Italian designed home and transforming the space into an incredible event venue by adding a chapel, a romantic butterfly garden, and exquisite stone terraces to enhance the elegant, old-world charm of the Villa, starting in the early 1990’s. The eventual transformation made Villa Antonia an exquisite and much sought after venue, with thousands of events held since its inception.

Meanwhile, Amy Maulding has dedicated over 30 years working in the Austin area wedding industry in corporate event management, catering, wedding design coordination and planning. After many years managing Villa Antonia, she stepped into the role of owner in January 2022. Villa Antonia, her dream turned into reality, has not only been a sanctuary for couples in Austin, Texas, but it has also become a cherished destination for couples from across the country seeking a perfect backdrop for their love story.


Along with the amazing staff at Villa Antonia, from our venue managers, parking/guest attendants, marketing and facilities team,The Maulding family is dedicated to continuing the transformation that Antonia began. This endeavor is not just a business to Amy; it’s a labor of love. Her entire family joins her side, passionately working in various roles within the business to make every wedding a magical experience. The love and commitment they share as a family are woven into the very fabric of Villa Antonia, making it a place where love truly knows no bounds.
