In a quaint Texas town, just outside of the bustling city, you will find the fairytale-esque Villa Antonia. Located on one of the tallest hills, its tower, balcony, and terrace overlook the sprawling Hill Country views. When you step on to the property and hear the water fountains, see the chapel, wine cellar, and the sprawling mosaic tiled staircase entrance, you are going to fall in love all over again.

As a florist, I love working here for SO many reasons. Firstly, the ceremony and reception options. Yes, you heard correctly. This venue offers varying ceremony and reception options! With Texas’ unpredictable weather, it is amazing to have not only indoor/outdoor ceremony options, but also the option to host your reception either indoors or outdoors. Villa Antonia’s chapel has a beautiful ceremony area that can be easily transformed into a dance floor! If you take the staircase down from the chapel you will arrive at the outdoor terrace area that includes an elaborate ornate fountain, strand lights, and a stage that’s ready for a band or a ceremony. When you have a venue that is able to accommodate any number of guests inside and out, you have got it made!

Secondly, Villa Antonia has venue features that are accommodating to many different styles and colors, (ex. stucco walls, colorful mosaics, and natural greenery) making it completely elegant. For this particular wedding we designed our flowers to be classic, versatile, and timeless. We designed our floral to be embracing the venue’s mediterranean olive branches and greenery by including premium garden roses and touches of whimsy ranunculus. This can mostly be seen in our lovely bride’s bouquet. It was a medium sized bouquet that was a bit more on the traditional side with an all around design that did not cascade or taper down. This size bouquet is the perfect size as it isn’t too large where it takes away from the beautiful bride and her dress.

For the guest harvest tables, we designed the floral to be similar to the bride’s but with more of a darker natural greenery that cascaded out the sides and ran down the table to accent the base of the candles and bud vases. The runner was a light mauve dusty blue cheese cloth that we accented with contrasting white, ivory, and dusty mauve pink butterfly ranunculus, peonies, and lisianthus in our rental eclectic bud vases. We used our white rental urn vase as the container for our flowers to create a clean bright touch to the tables with our rental brass tapered candlesticks.

Sometimes less is more, and with a venue as extravagant as Villa Antonia, minimalistic complimenting florals help embrace the natural beauty that the venue offers. This is where we come in. Let us help you plan your next fairytale wedding and create the ultimate floral experience with Austin’s best florist, rental decorations, styling, flowers, and design services. Contact us to help with your next event.
